Mike & Kelly Bowling Make History
With Current #1 Song
Nashville, Tenn. --(6-1-09) –Mike & Kelly Bowling made history in June with their current #1 song, “Notified.” The single is the fourth number one single from their Faith To Believe album, which is the first recording to contain four consecutive number one songs in Southern Gospel music according to the Singing News Magazine’s National Radio Chart. “Notified” was written by Ronnie Hinson and features the unmistakable harmony of Mike & Kelly Bowling. Their previous single, “A Miracle Today” hit number one in March 2009. “A Miracle Today” was written by Becky Isaacs Bowman and Sonya Isaacs and is the second number one for Mike & Kelly Bowling from the writing duo. “Your Cries Have Awoken The Master” was the Singing News 2008 Song of the Year and topped the charts in August 2008. The Singing News Song of the Year is selected according to a point system assigned to radio singles for their duration on the National Radio Chart throughout the year. “Mike & Kelly Bowling Welcome Chris Whitaker”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. ---(2-16-09)--- Popular Southern Gospel trio, Mike & Kelly Bowling have announced the addition of tenor Chris Whitaker to the group’s line-up. According to Mike & Kelly, “Chris has so much to offer our group. Not only does he possess an incredible lead voice and a natural ability to sing harmony, he has a passion for ministry.” "Kelly and I believe Chris is a perfect fit for our group," stated Mike. “We are so happy to have Chris as a part of our ministry and are excited about the future.”
Chris grew up in Hamilton, Mississippi where he began singing in church at the age of 10. His family moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 2005. Chris married Tara Leonard in February of the same year. They now have one child, Robert Colton Whitaker, who is 9 months old. Chris is no stranger to Southern Gospel music. He has performed full time for several years within the Southern Gospel industry. Chris added, “I am extremely excited about singing with such a wonderful group and family. I am most looking forward to ministering to those who are lost.”

Mike & Kelly Bowling are no strangers to the Christian music world having a long list of accomplishments during their vocal careers. While Mike began singing and playing piano at a very young age, he had a very impressive beginning to his professional career at only 16 years old when he embarked on a two year span singing with the legendary LeFevres. Mike then went on to earn a degree in Respiratory Therapy before returning to the music world. In 1995, he joined the New Hinsons, a perfect blend considering Mike’s vocals are very distinctively similar to those of the late Kenny Hinson. After lending his vocal abilities to several of their high-charting songs, Mike went on to join another successful family group, the Perrys. While with the Perrys, Mike was featured on songs such as "God Sent Angels," “By Faith I Can Touch Him Now" and “Not Even A Stone."
After Mike’s marriage to Kelly, he spent the next six years traveling as a soloist garnering a tremendous amount of success. In fact, he has been noted as the first Southern Gospel soloist to achieve three consecutive number one songs on the Singing News Top 80 charts (“Thank God For The Preacher,” “The Call” and “I Take Him Back”). Kelly spent more than 15 years with her family, The Crabb Family. Although formed a little
over a year ago, Mike &
Kelly Bowling are no
strangers to the Christian
music world having a long
list of accomplishments
during their vocal careers.
While Mike began singing and
playing piano at a very
young age, he had a very
impressive musical beginning
at only 16 years old; a two
year span with the legendary
LeFevres. Mike then went on
to earn a degree in
Respiratory Therapy before
returning to the music
world. In 1995, he joined
the New Hinsons, a perfect
blend considering Mike’s
vocals are very
distinctively similar to
those of the late Kenny
Hinson. After lending his
vocal abilities to several
of their high-charting
songs, Mike went on to join
another successful family
group, the Perrys. While
with the Perrys, Mike was
featured on songs such as
"God Sent Angels," “By
Faith I Can Touch Him Now"
and “Not Even A Stone."
After Mike’s marriage to
Kelly, (Kelly sang with her
family…the Crabb Family),
Mike spent the next six
years traveling as a soloist
garnering a tremendous
amount of success. In fact,
he has been noted as the
first Southern Gospel
soloist to achieve three
consecutive number one songs
on the
Singing News Top
80 charts (“Thank God For
The Preacher,” “The Call”
and “I Take Him Back”).
Kelly spent more than 15
years with her family, The
Crabb Family. During that
time they were the
recipients of three GRAMMY
nominations, 11 Dove Awards,
16 number one songs and
numerous other
accomplishments. Kelly’s
unmistakable voice could be
heard on the family's hits
"Don't You Wanna Go," "Good
Day," "Jesus Will Do What
You Can't," "Trail Of
Tears," as well as singing
harmonies on the others.
After the birth of the
Bowling's third child, Kelly
realized it was time to join
her husband on stage as Mike
& Kelly Bowling.
In October 2006, Mike &
Kelly Bowling added Jeff
Snyder of Owensboro, KY.
Jeff brings an incredible
tenor voice to this exciting
trio. He is a graduate of
Kentucky Bible College with
a degree in Theology and
Music.
Together, they have created

NASHVILLE, TN(11-1-07) - Mike & Kelly
Bowling claimed their first number one
position on the
Singing
News National Radio Chart for
December 2007 with their hit song “We Have A
Saviour.” The song was written by Carroll
McGruder and features the unmistakable
vocals of Mike, Kelly and Jeff Snyder. The
number one song is to be included on Mike &
Kelly Bowling’s next release, which they are
currently in the studio finishing.

"Mike
and Kelly Bowling Make Official Announcement"
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn--Mike and Kelly Bowling, formerly known
as the Mike Bowling Group, officially announced their name
change and the addition of Jeff Snyder as their newest
member this week.
Mike and Kelly are no strangers to Gospel
music. With a combined total of 11 Dove Awards, three
Grammy nominations and lending their voices to over 20
number one songs, this husband and wife team are destined to
remain a mainstay in the Southern Gospel industry. The
announcement was made on the heels of Mike's wife, Kelly
Bowling joining the group full time.
The newest member, Jeff Snyder of Owensboro, KY native has
been filling the tenor position since November. Jeff is a
graduate of Kentucky Mountain Bible College with a degree in
Theology and has studied music at God's Bible College.
"It is awesome to be a part of a ministry that shares the
same values and goals. I feel like God has placed me in a
position where He can use me in a way like never
before," commented Jeff.
Mike added, "Kelly and I are thrilled to have Jeff singing
the third part and joining us in ministry. We look forward
to what the future holds for us as a team."
Beckie Simmons of the prestigious Beckie Simmons Agency
